"Kilauea" wool vessel was inspired by the geological happenings in Hawaii a few years ago. The eruptions producing lava, crevices, rock formation - all great texture, and I tried to capture it in this vessel. Using local upstate New York Iceland wool as the base then layered with various colors of NY State Corriedale mix-breed wool hand dyed by the sheep farmer created this wonderful texture. "Kilauea" looks wonderful anywhere: in your living room, near a fireplace, in your foyer or even your office. Light weight but heavy in texture and the large size makes a wonderful statement anywhere you choose. Kilauea measures approximately 16" in in width and 14" in diameter.
Care Instructions: As an object in your home, your vessel will collect dust. It's easy to maintain by periodically gently vacuuming your vessel with the brush attachment. It's as easy as that. Enjoy!
