The beautiful colors of the hand-dyed silks inspired "Odenwald" - a shrug to wrap yourself in on any occasion. Dense forest greens with touches of reds, teal, gold and copper reminded me of the rich forest. Using hand-dyed silks prepare in my studio, and hand felted with fine merino wool and a touch of metallic silk design elements, "Odenwald" is a stunning piece of wearable art. Enjoy year round.
Measurements: 55" (from sleeve end to sleeve end); M/L
*Care instructions: Hand wash is COLD water (never hot) with very mild detergent. Do not agitate while washing, as the fine layer of wool will continue to shrink – just a short soak and a few dips. Rinse and gently squeeze out the access water by rolling in a towel. Gently shape it back to its original shape (blocking) while using an iron on wool with steam setting. After blocking, dry on a hanger with rounded ends to avoid hanger marks. This item can also be dry-cleaned but hand washing is recommended as the block process is important.
P.S. The Odenwald is an old mountain range just north of Heidelberg, my birth place. Highly recommend a visit!
